USB drive duplicators seem to be popping up a bit more often these last few months. The last one we wrote about was capable of doing 20 simultaneous copies from a single drive. This new one is capable of creating 60 duplicates. A flash drive duplicator probably isn’t what your average person would need in their home due to flash drive being expensive (if you need to buy 60 of them) and no real purpose. We never get bored of the tons of USB flash drives that come past our way here. They come in tons of shapes and sizes with various capacities. This latest comes from Imation and is named the Atom Flash Drive. The Atom is a tiny thumbdrive which is about the size of a paper clip and measures 30.5 x 13 x 5.6mm in size. Capacities for the Atom range from 1GB all the way up to 8GB which is a fairly decent size considering how tiny the thing is.

This new gizmo will charge a pair of your AA or AAA NiMH/NiCad batteries in three to four hours of slurping power from a USB socket, no power brick required. It’s also apparently the “smallest and lightest” in the world. That may or may not be true, but it certainly is small enough to slip into your laptop case and not worry about. It’s even rubberized to make it a bit tougher for portability, so if you’re the type who needs AA batteries out in the field, it might be useful.

Bluetooth is a great way to transfer files between your phone and another. Many pictures have been sent by using this protocol. It’s only draw back is that the average range is somewhere between 10 and 100 feet which is often not enough to communicate across a large office.

You know what kids in developing nations need besides water, vaccines, and schools? MP3 players… and laptops, lots of laptops. Meet the Cranko, at least that’s what we’re calling it since Thanko’s “Cranking MP3 Player” bores us to the point of Wal-marting razor blades. Callpod—maker of one of our favorite charging devices, the Chargepod—has just come out with a Bluetooth adapter called The Drone. What’s special about this Bluetooth adapter that’s not in any of the hundreds of other Bluetooth adapter sticks already out? It “automatically pairs itself with your headset or headphones,” which saves about 30 seconds of waiting and having to type “0000″ into some prompt.

If you have used a multi monitor set-up (2 or more monitors attached to your PC) then you will be totally aware of how much more productivity you have. Tasks can be completed far quicker as the extra estate you have allows you to keep more windows open and cut out the problem of minimising and maximising windows. Add a third or even forth can help even more.
