NEC has announced its new member in the MultiSync series, a 52-inch flat panel display called LCD5220, boasting to be the first LCD in the industry that is based on Professional-Grade Panel.
This latest LCD panel, which doubles as a plasma and projector display, features an ultra-thin bezel to enable a more flawless picture when used in multiple-display and video-wall implementations. It supports 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i HD standards.

The MultiSync LCD5220 delivers a 920 x 1080 full-HD, ultra-high resolution for true 16:9 aspect ratio, 8-millisecond response time, brightness of 700 cd/m2 and contrast ratio of 2000:1. It incorporates a sealed module to avoid smoke, dust and other contaminants, TileMatrix to allow video walls (up to 25 displays in a 5×5 matrix equaling almost 20-ft. diagonal) and SpectraView II color Calibration Solution for color consistency and dependability across individual and multiple screens, creating a perfectly matched image in tiled environments.

With the U-shaped backlight system, users can experience better brightness uniformity and standardized dissipation of heat. Claiming to be RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous Substances) compliant, the 52-inch flat panel display contains fully disposable plastics, no hazardous materials that include hex-chrome, cadmium, PBDE and PBB along with minimal amounts of lead and mercury.

Besides, it also bundles an in-built expansion slot to incorporate third-party components and an optional stand and speakers.
