Asian countries like Japan and Korea are totally packed with innovative PMPs. And the product that we are about to report simply joins the group. UPOP, a Korean company has launched an eye-catching PMP in the Korean market.
Though UPOP is a new company in the Korean market, the debut device is filled of UMPC kind of features.
The new player has a sliding front panel with a built-in keyboard. Some of the features of the new PMP are:
# Capacity: 30, or 60GB plus SD expansion
# Display: 4.8″ TFT (800 x 400)
# OS: Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Professional
# Audio: MP3, WMA, MP4, ACC, AC3, Ogg, and WAV
# Video: AVI (divx, etc), WMV, MPG, DAT, and VOB
# Built-in WiFi and DMB Tuner
# Audio and Video recording
# Office Applications (such as Powerpoint, Excel, PDF. TXT)
# Built-in Dictionary

After having a glance on features, tech savvies located in other parts of the world would definitely be envious of Koreans. Unfortunately, the price of the UPOP PMP is not yet known. I think it should be termed as a UMPC rather than PMP, don’t you think so?
