Flytech created the unique DragonFly last year which was a seriously different flying RC toy. Now they have created the Bladestar which could kind of be compared to a helicopter in some ways. It has a large rotating blade and 2 rear rotors that are opposite each other. Three sensors help keep it out of trouble by detecting the floor, ceiling and walls. It allows the Bladestar to fly it’s self, or alternatively you can use the remote control. If you want to be truly unique then you can guide the robot RC Bladstar by using your hands to block it’s sensors and guide it around.

Skype Coming to Sony PSP
Posted on 2008 under Digital News, Game, Gadget, Toys, Miscellaneous | No Comment3 Jan
Sony’s all for loading multimedia functions onto their consoles (portable or otherwise) to add value, so the addition of VoIP via Skype is something we can definitely see them doing. The feature’s listed on Sony’s CES site, along with internet radio and a few other features we already know about, like Remote Play. So it’s not a matter of whether the PSP will grab Skype, it’s a matter of when the firmware update will be released. Hit the jump for the note in question.

The Eye Toy for the PS2 was a cool camera which you stuck on your TV and played games by jumping around in front of the screen. It was a toy which some hate and some love. The PS3 version named just the Playstation Eye, is due out soon which is a low res camera used for games and video chats over the TV. Costing $39.99 it boasts a few more features then the Eye Toy for the PS2. It now works in low level light areas, has 2 zoom levels and can capture video at a lower resolution up to 120 frames per second. At the 640 x 480 res it can do 60 FPS which is still cool. A built in microphone is also included allowing conversation, or voice commands in games.

I have to admit that these unique face plates for the XBox 360 look great. Each of them are hand crafted and fit right on the front of your 360. Only a limited amount (36) will be made and the treasure island one above will set you back $120. The Molten Stone version is not for sale (pictured below). Although I probably would not spend $120 on a face plate for an XBox I have to admit that these versions do look quite amazing. The only reason I wouldn’t spend $120 is because I am not too fussed about any front plate for an XBox. Read more… »
