We have already reported cases of mobile phones catching fire suddenly. But this could be the first time when any iPod caught fire. A resident of Atlanta, US claims that his iPod Nano caught fire in his pant pocket.
Danny Williams, the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport employee said that his iPod Nano, which was bought around two year back, suddenly, caught fire in his pant pocket. The fire lasted for about 15 seconds.
“I’m still kind of freaked out that only after a year and a half my iPod caught fire in my pocket. If TSA had come by and seen me smoking, they could have honestly thought I was a terrorist,” said Danny Williams.
Apple has not issued any official statement regarding the issue. However, it is said that the manufacturer has asked Williams to send his exploded iPod for examination.
