
While it’s a tad heavier and thicker than the W880i, the 3.5-ounce Sony Ericsson W980i makes a lot more sense thanks to its clamshell design with big playback buttons and display on its cover. Add 8GB internal memory, HSDPA high speed Internet connectivity and specialized music features, and it looks like they may have a real winner. Inside, the W980i looks even better. Read more… »

Nokia, who’s supposedly super loyal to the Symbian platform, is currently in talks with Microsoft (says one of Microsoft’s marketing directors) to load Windows Mobile on the handset maker’s phones. Here’s what Nokia already uses of Microsoft’s: ActiveSync and PlayReady, but like an anxious teenaged lover, Microsoft is working “closely” with Nokia and wants to “go all the way.” It’s too early to determine whether or not you’re going to be able to buy a Nokia with WinMo on it, but it’s all but guaranteed that they’ll still be selling phones with Symbian—so no worries S60 fans.

Those fellows at the Chocolate Design Agency have come up with another smashing concept. This time they have gone to work on creating the best phone, ever. The design is modeled around the same E-Paper Slap Bracelet we saw earlier, but this time the e-paper system—four layers of sustainable material, and an Organic Radical battery—is put to use in the P-Per cellphone concept, which shows a transparent display for camera mode and a browser that spans the entire surface of the display. iPhone dedicated site called Modmyifone.com has reported the first Trojan for the iPhone. Reports say that the Trojan was discovered by F-Secure security.
According to media reports the Trojan is specifically targeted at modded iPhones that allows installing third-party applications.
This iPhone Trojan is known as “iPhone firmware 1.1.3 prep” or “113 prep” Upon uninstalling the 113 prep application, it also removes a lot of files from the /bin directory on the iPhone. Read more… »
