TI’s TV Wonder 650 TV tuners have been out for PCs for a bit, but a Mac version of the Combo USB variety’s arriving just this month for $149, and it comes in a special white case—guess they didn’t get the memo silver’s the new white. It’s also sporting a polished new interface and parental controls, though spec-wise it appears to be the same as before (OTA Analog and HD, Clear-QAM, etc.), making it a pretty decent solution for a Mac mini HD PVR setup.

I have to admit that these unique face plates for the XBox 360 look great. Each of them are hand crafted and fit right on the front of your 360. Only a limited amount (36) will be made and the treasure island one above will set you back $120. The Molten Stone version is not for sale (pictured below). Although I probably would not spend $120 on a face plate for an XBox I have to admit that these versions do look quite amazing. The only reason I wouldn’t spend $120 is because I am not too fussed about any front plate for an XBox. Read more… »

Samsung has brought out another LCD monitor from its Syncmaster range. The 245T is a 24-inch monitor with PiP (Picture in Picture), PbP (that’s Picture by Picture), and its Motion Picture Acceleration gives better-quality pics. Also featured is HMDI and 5-Video connections. Another pic, plus the price after the jump.

The new XWL-1 TV from Sony is quite an amazing little screen. It has an Organic EL display technology which allows the screen to be just 3mm thin. Quite amazing if you ask me. The screen also measures 11 inches QHD (960×540) and has a good contrast ratio of 1000k:1 with vivid colours. The TV actually has support for HD and has a HDMI input port. Being only 3 mm thin the TV actually sits on a small stand where it appears all the cables and PSU are fitted. This TV will sell for $1734 when it is released in Japan in December. No details of release dates elsewhere are around yet though.
