
Roads are clear for the latest laptop launch dubbed OLPC XO 2.0. Unlike the OLPC XO, the price of the next-generation XO laptop would cost around $75 only. It is said to be a highly slimmed-down version of OLPC’s original XO device. It has been developed from a different point of view but the purpose remains the same.
The non-profit organization has introduced the prototype of the latest model that targets at students who can carry it easily while traveling miles away for schooling. Everyone knows the “Go Green” slogan. You also have an idea that it is important to develop technological or electronic products that are eco-friendly. Greenpeace had dropped Nokia from 1st position to the 9th spot last year. In order to again attain the first place, Nokia developed their first green phone named 3110 Evolve. A battle between Google’s Android and Linux now comes to a close, thanks to Verizon Wireless. The company has finally made its decision to work with the LiMo Foundation to incorporate the Linux operating system on the mobile phone. Nokia recently demonstrated their new Maps application which (although they don’t admit it) it is to compete against Google Maps. The service will run on Ovi, which is their social media site. The map software is designed to run on the PC, but approaches the problem of decent mapping from a different angle.
Unlike Google maps which use servers to calculate the maps and what you see, the Nokia version will use computing power on your own PC to create the graphics needed to make it run.
