Yeah, there’s already a few folks out there depriving themselves of adequate exercise by choosing to cruise on an electric bike, but those who’ve yet to take the plunge now have yet another alternative. Panasonic’s Titanium Flat Road EB electric bicycle isn’t likely to be certified for use in the Tour de France, but it can propel riders a maximum of ten kilometers in around half an hour (or up to 150 kilometers if you use your own strength every now and then). Additionally, the bike features a Smart Lithium-Ion Integrated Management System (SLIM) to display remaining battery life and the distance left before your legs will be forced to take over. No word on a price just yet
Sony’s latest additions to its E series range of MP3 players come with interchangeable jackets, and have a USB plug for direct connection to your computer. The player itself comes in black or white, and there are twenty different designs of the outer “Style-Up” panels available. In 1GB, 2GB and 4GB versions, the NW-E023F, -025F and -026F play ATRAC, MP3, WMA and AAC and have a 3-line LCD display and FM radio function. Measuring 3.2 x 0.9 x 0.6 inches, they’re out in March in Japan for between $100 and $150. Style-Up jackets will be around $12 each.

Low-cost laptops is a new trend these days to increase the amount of target audience. Similarly, in the lines of Asus and One Laptop Per Child Foundation, British manufacturer Elonex has also introduced its latest laptop, called the One, which comes with a price tag of £99. This ultra-portable Elonex One will be offered in the UK.
Developed for education segment, the One features 1GB of flash memory, a Wi-Fi adapter, a detachable rubberised keyboard to use as tablet and a 7-inch TFT touchscreen.
Powered by Linux OS, it comes with a word processor, spreadsheet, internet browser, photo editor and even an email client. Weighing 2.2lbs, it also sports a flash-based hard drive, a hard-wearing case and wireless music server. Read more… »
The chaps over at Terminal.hu have just managed to get hold of some exclusive Xperia X1 images. The new pictures show the device will be running the yet-to-be-announced Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, and that explains why we weren’t allowed a thorough hands-on at Mobile World Congress 2008. That may not be a shocker, but the other tidbits of information we have gathered are rather interesting. Besides what we knew before, we can now tell the Xperia X1 will have a Qualcomm 7200A CPU running at 528 MHz, 128MB RAM and a nice ‘n’ juicy, 1500 mAh battery. Sure, we were not overwhelmed with our first gimped hands-on, but on paper it looks like this sure is one beast. The 528 MHz processor has us excited, but with it being Windows Mobile, we’ll be surprised if the onboard RAM doesn’t prove itself to be insufficient for heavy multitasking.
