MIT Media Lab’s RoboScooter prototype would be a lot more intriguing if it had some sort of autopilot button, and while that could very well emerge in the future, it looks as if the first models will still require human intervention. Nevertheless, the ultra-compact vehicle is entirely electric, and aside from supporting swappable batteries, it can also fold up for easy transport. Furthermore, its creators boast that the entire rig is constructed from just 150 parts, which makes life on the assembly line that much easier. Granted, even engineers realize that scooters don’t stand much of a chance in America, but if all goes well, this bugger could start conquering Asian streets as early as next year.

Sony Ericsson has launched its latest Bluetooth Speakerphone dubbed HCB-150. It comes with a text-to-speech function that has the ability to speak out the name of the caller.
It also features an OLED display for visual Caller ID, allowing the driver to check the name of the caller. Moreover, touch-sensitive controls and a longer battery life, which delivers 700 hours of standby and up to 25 hours of talk time, are also included. Read more… »
Just like that and Sony’s got a new iPod dock / clock radio — the ICF-ClipMK2 — which comes in both black and white with line-in for $100 this May. Also announced, the clippable DRC-BT15 Bluetooth A2DP / AVRCP receiver and SRS-BT100 30 Watt A2DP speakers. The Bluetooth gear is out March for $130 and $160, respectively.
